Online and On-Site Training

Online Training

Training is provided to organizations and universities upon purchasing a software license for SAM. Training begins with an initial meeting where our teams will schedule the training sessions, as well as determine if the sessions need to be expanded or refined to address any additional needs that may exist.

The initial meeting is held, and the training sessions are conducted, in our online meeting space where video, audio, and content may be freely shared between screens and participants.

We strongly suggest that the lead system administrator and lead process manager attend the initial meeting and training sessions; i.e. senior IT staff, directors and associate directions, program administrators, and so on.

The initial meeting will allow our teams to greet, sync up, and schedule the dates and times for the training sessions. We will also further vet your team's specific needs to ensure that training addresses any unique concerns brought to our attention.

You will not need to prepare any discussion or materials for the initial meeting, as our team will provide the direction and materials for you before conducting the training sessions. The initial meeting will last for two (2) to four (4) hours, and is scheduled as per your convenience.

Training will extend over a period of three (3) days. The training sessions will each last for two (2) hours with an hour break between sessions, such that three (3) sessions comprise a full day of training.

Throughout training, several challenging assignments will be provided to the participants that contain a wide variety of difficult and tedious tasks that they must accomplish within a testing environment.

The assignments will be graded in order to help both teams understand where attention needs to be paid, and to ensure that the training session participants are comfortable administering your institution's production instance of SAM.

 

On-Site Training

The On-Site Training Policy allows for a SAM representative to provide the services defined in Online Training at the location of your organization or university.
